The Idea
This was a passion project that began early spring of 2019 that was pitched to Visit Austin as a way to help bring visitors in for an outdoor activity and promote and support Austin’s Vibrant Visual Arts and Mural Scene.
The Art
I lead a team that identified a hand full of murals from a diverse group of artists who were established and just starting out their career. After working with Visit Austin to select the final muralists, I brought the murals to life via Spark AR.
The Documentary
We created a Mini Doc, Directed by Dylan Varella, showcasing the selected muralists, a little bit of their background, and their connection to Austin’s Art Community. In addition to the featured murals, we showcased iconic and lesser known murals throughout the Mini Doc and used local bands from various genres as our soundtrack.
